Fall Semester In Review

(alot of this post is me trying to remember everything that happened so this is pretty much a journal for me)
well today was my last day for the fall and i'm so glad its over. i had one last test this morning and did great on it! well this semester was alot of fun when i think back to the beginning of it, it seems like forever ago but it also seems like it went by so fast. i cant believe that when i come back i will be a sophomore. well i loved my roommates this is a picture of us at by birthday party.

We did so many things this semester we would have dance parties late at night when we would get home from somewhere, fun adventures, and would decorate our apartment on saturday nights that we had nothing to do. we always entertained ourselves and enjoyed each others company. One of the nights we had nothing to do so we walked around the park and played.


Garrett


I saw ty alot this semester because he lived down the street and my apartment became friends with everyone in his.

we also had alot of adopted family members that pretty much lived with us. Christine was our sister that was always here and it would feel like someone was missing if she wasnt around. then we had our brothers Garrett was my old roommate Sam's brother and he was here so much he felt he could eat anyones food. he also was ty's roommate. then at thanksgiving we got 2 new brothers because 2 of the guys i danced with didnt get to go home and they knew no one here over the break so they stayed with me then when i would leave the apt they countinued to stay and talked to my roommates who they didnt know by the end of the week Kellyn named them our brown brothers. Thanksgiving break was an interesting time because the town was empty and almost everyones apartments were empty but somehow all of my roommates except for kathryn was here. so we had fun trying to find anything to do but we mostly sat around and tried to learn how to play the ukulele. my roommates and i got pretty good at it by the end of the week. i also got my hair cut from steph. me and kristjana went over to her house on my birthday. it was alot of fun getting to see her especially since she only lives 30 mins away.

My classes were a lot more fun this semester because i had stuff for my major i really enjoyed my cooking class and even in the classes i didnt like i found things to enjoy.

I think when i go home i will miss being up here but i am also so excited to get home and see everyone. and most of all see my nephew for the first time in person! i think the people i missed most were my nephews because they are growing so fast and they are so fun to be around... but that also doesnt mean i want to babysit them all the time haha just kidding danae!! well i will miss it here but i have so much to look forward to at home, sisters weekend being one of them!!

I LOVED YESTERDAY

Yesterday was my birhtday and it started about 10 pm on the 21st and till about 3 am the 23rd. it was so much fun.... starting at the beginning i went to a championship volleyball game and during the time outs they had little competitions and one of them was if you can prove your birthday is today or this week run down here so i did and they gave me a $5 gift card to jamba juice!! i was excited after the game me and alot of my friends went to a mexican food place here and when they walked in the had a cake with them and started singing happy birthday to me! after the dinner i came home to my roommates who had decorated the apartment completely and as soon as i opened the door to the dark apt. they lit the candles and started singing we then watched movies till very early in the morning. I woke up at 10 to brandon calling my house phone and laughing cause i was still sleeping. i then lazily walked around the apartment trying to find something to do. then i get a call from a few of my friends saying they wanted to have breakfast they tryed to think of food they had but it consisted of bread and juice so i told them i have stuff for biscuits and gravy so i made that for all of us to have breakfast at 11!! when i finished eating i hurried to go to stephs because me and kristjana were going to cut our hair. we stayed there for a while and i got my hair cut short! well kensey does not think so but its shorter to me but i like it!! my roommates think i look older now so i guess thats good. well after i came home i made spaghetti for everyone and then me and my roommate went with a couple of our friends to go watch ghost town. it was a pretty funny movie when we got home we sat around and talked until 3 in the morning. it was a great day and i enjoyed spending it with all of my friends. i also missed being home with everyone but the calls and gifts were great! nothing else has been going on just school... i performed a few saturdays ago and i was choosen to do a solo for one of the dances so that was pretty exciting. other then that i'm glad i get a whole week off for thanksgiving and i get to spend time with joey and lisa and their family then 2 more weeks of school and i will be home!!! i cant wait to see everyone and i hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving. love you all

Roping Class

Well i started my team roping class tonight it was pretty fun i know a few people in that class so i wont be alone. tonight was just basics and tomorrow we will get on the horse it should be fun. The people help but i wish it was more but its still fun and i'm glad i'm taking it... maybe i'll get better!

Kolipoki

well last night i was able to go to a fireside where president groberg talked. he is the guy off the other side of heaven if you dont remember!! it was a polynesian fireside and there were only about 20 people there. he turned it into a discussion about unity and it was really good. he was talking to the poly people but i was there too (along with some more white people that wanted to hear him). he talked about 4th nephi and how everyone was unified in the lord and their skin color didnt matter. he did a great job and i know they all enjoyed listening to him. i was able to put the lei on sister groberg and i gave them both a hug at the end and walked with them out to their car with their food. they are great people and i was so happy i was able to meet them. when he saw me he asked how i became apart of the PCA and i just said my roommate got me dancing and i stayed. it was a really fun night and i'm glad i'm able to be apart of it. oh funny story he called on this girl next to me to read a verse and he said "can i get this palongi to read verse 1" and she just looked at him confused and and all of us starting laughing and he said i guess i should explain a palongi is a white person. haha it might have just been funny to me but anyways... i also made dessert its called pani popo and they told me that i made it really good and they all loved it!! and it was really good its coconut rolls they taste great! i was very glad that everything turned out it surprised us how well everything worked especially since we didnt pick up leis so we had to find flowers on a cheap budget and make them and i had to get all the ingrediants for my dessert at the last min. but we went to the flower shop and the lady had no tropical flowers but had small white flowers that she uses for weddings and since she didnt have any weddings she gave them to us and they are normally $3 a stem and then we got the greens from the gardens.... we just pulled leaves secretly and everything thought that the leis looked really expensive but it costed nothing!! but the night was great and it did not looked rushed at all!!
well besides the fireside nothing else has been going on. i danced for mothers weekend and i'm trying to get videos up but my internet is slow and cant download them. also janette just had her baby boy tuesday night and everything is going good with them. i wish i could be at home to see him and everyone else but i will be home soon enough!!

awkward date

well i was talking to danae the other day and i was telling about a date i went on and she told me i needed to write it on my blog so here it goes. its long and i'm sure boring!
my roommate was talking to this guy and kinda like him and then we found out that his roommate was in one of my classes last semester and i guess he kinda liked me i dont know but my roommate was talking to the guy she liked and told him that he should come over and he responded that he might and that his roommate wanted to see where we live.... well they ended up not coming and she wanted to know why so she had me txt the guy that was in my class before and ask why they didnt come over. he said his roommate didnt want to but he really wanted to and then proceeded to ask me out monday after fhe. i went with him to a music outlet where people come and they can play songs they wrote or anything like that (danae pictured a hippie type setting but it was not) it was actually good there are tons of people here with great talent. anyways he talked the whole time and i couldnt really pay attention then after i figured he would take me home but no he was like lets go watch a movie its only 1030 and of course i cant say no and i cant figure a way out so i go and watch superman.
well i am sitting on the couch and he keeps scooting closer and i move closer to the arm rest. well heres the more awkward part.... he keeps streching then putting his arms down which i am glad he puts them down cause i have no interest in him whatsoever. anyways then he stretches and touches my hair that is in a bun and asks how long my hair is then then i answer and then he puts his arm around me... awkward YES... then i check the time and its almost curfew (1200) and he asks if i need to go and i say yes. so he takes me home and thats the end i think he got the hint that i didnt have interest because he hasnt called! i feel bad but i just think i could have been a lot more rude so then i dont feel bad.
oh and i also went on a blind date last week it went ok we went to ryan shupe and the rubberband then went for ice cream. the only weird part about that is that i didnt know him or his friends but my roommate knew him. you would think she set me up on the date but no when i asked she said they asked her if i was free and could go out with him.... i guess one of the girls knew me because i answered the door when she came over. i have no clue but i am sure i will have so many more weird and awkward dates i guess thats a part of college or should i say BYU that you have to deal with.

Another great day at BYU Idaho

well all is good here! the weather has been pretty nice its cold in the mornings then gets pretty hot but not too bad. i havent really been doing anything but i think i am going to start flag football again and that should be fun. last weekend we went bridge jumping and the water was freezing. i was so scared to jump off i was the last one to do it and some of the girls were going to go off with me and counted to 3...... but i didnt jump i just stood there it was so far down there. but really it wasnt that far and i didnt really jump just stepped off but i had fun!



Its only the second week here but it feels like its been months really it has. i like my roommates alot and it seems like we've been known each other for a while but we just meet. when we got here we didnt have shower curtains but one of the girls bought one but for the other shower we dont have anything and for the past 2 weeks we have been sharing one bathroom. Can you believe it? i cant because it never seems like its busy we all have different schedules and its worked out good. well anyways classes are good and hopefully i'll find some more stuff to do soon!

school, school, school

ok so i am back! i loved church on sunday almost everyone from my old ward has moved out but it seemed like i was in my home ward again it was great. the lessons here are a lot better i think it is just because everyone is not talking about their spouse or kids! but i have one more class today at 1130 so i am just killing time waiting for it to start. i hope this semester is good it seems like it will be, i'm getting to know my roommates and they seem really nice so i'm excited about that! I also have a few more cousins up here with me now and i was shocked when i went over to ty's apartment and i knew one of his roommates and the other is my old roommate sam's brother so the only 3 guys that i knew that were coming to byui are all in the same room so thats pretty cool. i think i'll have a lot of fun hanging around them all. my classes this semester are more for my major so i have human nutrition, child development, intro to food, book of mormon, and chemistry. my goal for this semester is to stay organized and get everything done on time and if you know me you know those are very hard goals for me.... but i'll try anyways. i hope all is going good for everyone! all is good here, love you all!

It's already that time

Can you believe that i am going back to school friday? I can't.... the time has gone by so fast but I am actually really excited to get back. Now i have friends that when i get there I wont have to meet, I know my roommate, and i know the campus! so this semester should be really fun! well i havent done anything over this break i worked alot and got enough money for tuition, my apartment, and for food. i was really blessed over this break at first i thought i wouldnt have a job or a job that i could work many hours but i got both!! I was able to go down to Morenci for one of my good friends farewell and we were able to see Brandon and Marcy! i had alot of fun and hopefully they didnt mind us either. Now i am just getting ready to leave!! But pretty soon i will be saying that i'm coming home so just 4 more months!!

Sushi!!!

I went to eat sushi last week with the Godowns and Robert. it was so much fun!! At the end of the night all the boys were playing with their "light sabers" it was alot of fun!! i'm so glad we were all able to go!

I'M HOME

Well i am home! i got back last week then went on the trek, which was great!! well here are some pictures that i took of my cousins on the way home. i'm not in any because i was either taking them or driving... you can see that we packed the car with all our stuff the back seat had just enough room for 2 to sit and the trunk was completly full. we stopped off in SLC saturday night then got back on the road sunday. we went into provo to see another cousin thats at BYU and in the parking lot or i guess the sand by it i set off a fire work. it really wasnt one but it was a little toy tank you light and its suppose to move and spark but it didnt. but it was still fun!! well i'm sure glad i'm home and the few weeks i have left dont seem like enough. but i just have to get everything done and have as much fun as possible!

Roommates!

I noticed that i never put any pictures up of my roommates so here is a picture of all of us at the luau. its been really fun living with these girls! i even found out that i am related to the girl i dance with, Katie. well anyways starting from the left Sam, Carmen, Kathryn, Me, and Katie. we living in a 3 bedroom apartment and somehow my roommate didnt show up so i am the lucky and not so lucky one that doesnt have to share a room. i will be living with Carmen and Kathryn next semester. Everything is going good here i have pretty good grades and they should stay like that. Cant wait to get home though!

Last week...

ok i'm pretty much done with most of my classes my book of mormon and biology lab are done and now i just need to finish up a english paper then its just finals and i'm home! it should be fun but i also need to find a job so if anyone knows of anything i can do for 7 weeks tell me. i really need a job and would love anyone to help out!!!! well hope everyone is doing good i cant wait to see everyone again!!

4th of July

I hope everyones 4th of July went great! mine was alot of fun. it started out great i got to sleep in for the first time in a while and then did a little cleaning. then i drove down to Idaho Falls with some people from my ward to have a BBQ in one of the girls uncle's warehouse for something but it was really fun cause it had ping pong, pool table, and we brought tons of games. after that we went to the title of liberty field. i guess its a newer tradition that someone started. it was kinda cool they had over 17 hundred flags and then a guy told us the history of it. After that we went to get a good spot to watch the fireworks! we sat next to the temple and waited for them to start. they were really good they had a lot! it wasn't like Morenci where one goes off then another haha but they had tons going off and it was alot of fun. this weekend has been great i'm sad that its over because it was so much fun but also because i didnt get any work done for next week.... hope everything works out. This video is of some of the people in my ward. i was roping outside and everytime i have gone out there a few of the girls come out and try it too! this time the guys came too and had alot of fun this is just a small part of what they were doing. everything can be turned into something fun on a college campus!! they were trying to be bulls if you cant tell and he actually caught one of them.

Time has gone by so fast

After this weekend i have 2 more weeks left of school. can you believe it? i can't. i'm really excited to be able to come home but really sad that i will be leaving my friends an my roommates. i will be rooming with 2 of my roommates next semester but the other 2 are leaving. this semester has gone by so fast and i absolutly love it!! i thought college life would be hard but it hasnt been at all. its not even that big of a change school wise because i think its easier then high school sometimes and not having class all the time is great but living alone is hard but i am so happy that i have my roommates. and that i made the friends i did!!! life is going good i cant think of anything that has really been going on. I hope everyone has a great 4th of july i think i'm going into Idaho Falls to watch the fireworks!! i love everyone and i will be home very very fast.

LUAU

Last friday i was able to dance in a luau for the school. It was alot of fun my roommate recorded it its not the best she moved alot but i figured i should put them up anyways. This frist one is a hawaiian dance its really slow and not my favorite. you cant see for most of it but its a pretty dance. Its about the love you have for your family. The second is my favorite dance. you can probably tell that i am a little nervous but i did ok. it was alot of fun learning all of these and having fun with all the dancers.

It got cold again

well today is freezing the wind is blowing and its just so cold. but other then that all is well!! kensey came up this past week and that was great it was alot of fun taking her everywhere. school is going great and thats about it that is going on. hope all is going good at home and that everyone is having fun in the sun....

I can not believe how fast time flew by this week! its amazing. Monday i get to go down to Salt Lake for the wedding. i'm really excited to get to see everyone it will be alot of fun! well last weekend had great weather but then it snowed again. no fun i just want it to get warm. well i hope everyone is doing good!! love and miss you all!

one week down

Well i survived a week of school! i'm doing better then i thought i would. and my ward really is great and it just keeps getting better, well hopefully. Next week i'll be going down to Salt Lake and the week after that i'll be home for a few days!! nothing has really been going on so i dont have much to say only that i'm doing good and having fun.

summer is almost here?

ok so i walk out of my class this morning to find??? it was snowing i couldnt believe it and i wasnt even wearing a big coat cause it wasnt that cold this morning i just cant believe it i've been cold all day long and i still have a class today that i have to walk to and its getting colder and snowing more each time. its not sticking but its still cold when it hits you.

3nd day of school!

hey ok so my internet has not been working very good so i havent been able to get on but everything is going great! my roommates are really nice and since i started talking to them its easier to be around them and do stuff with them. the girl i was going to room with didnt come for some reason and so i have a room to myself!! i'm happy about that cause i get to shut the door and not have to worry about anyone else so its pretty nice. i really like the school up here its been freezing but i have some really great teachers so i think this semester will be really fun!! i like my ward too cause we do alot of stuff together and they try to involve everyone. i've meet the girls that live around me and they are all so nice and i go and do stuff with them sometimes. so i have friends shocking right haha not really but everything is going good here!

New Room

Ok so i am here!!! i dont know my roommate yet and only one girl from my appartment is here and she seems nice i only talked to her a little bit. but mom and dad left today and they bought me alot of stuff for my room and it looks pretty nice!! one of my cousins is in the apartment next door and she will be in my RS because there are two differnt ones in my ward. but tomorrow i will talk more about my ward after i go to church. but i went to a get together tonight. My cousin Nick's apartment is very social and called everyone in the ward and said we were gonna get together and talk and meet everyone before church tomorrow. it was fun i meet alot of people and know a few faces now!! well i told you guys i would take pictures of my room so here they are and my front room too!

One week, seven days, however you say it is too soon

Wow one more week can you believe it. after this i have to cook for myself, plan everything myself, and make new friends.... time sure does fly but i've been looking forward to go to college for too long to worry about it!! i will be back after 3 months so that is really short i keep thinking that i'll be gone forever but i wont be haha i just cant believe i'm old enough to be in college

Going Away Party

It started out by talking to Scott at church and saying we need to have a wii party before i leave and then it turned into my going away party! it was so much fun i invited some of my friends and ate hamburgers and ice cream then played the wii. it was a great night!!!!

Best Vacation Ever!

Ok so me and kensey got to tag along on someone else's vacation but it was so much fun! we were nannys for the shepherds and godowns while they went to disneyland. i couldnt find my camera before we left so i didnt get pictures but we helped take care of 7 kids, sounds hard but with 6 adults we did good. the kids had a great time and it made it even more fun to see the excitment on their faces. that would have been the best part of the trip but the guys let all the "young girls" go out one night and we ran to the rides and had so much fun! they have alot of cool rides there i wouldnt even be able to tell you which was my favorite. well this was the first time i have gone to disneyland and california adventures so it was great to get to go. everyone said they were glad they took us but i think we might have had more fun maybe even more then the kids!!! But thank you guys so much for even thinking of us. this will be a trip i will always remember! i hope you guys enjoyed us and didnt get to tired of us being around haha

College is coming!!

Alright i am going to BYU Idaho!!! school starts April 21 so soon can you believe it. well i am so excited i will be staying in nauvoo house its off campus but its still real close and some of my cousins live there. i have been so confused these past few days deciding where to stay and all that i should do but all this time still happy, sad, excited and so many other emotions. i think its going to be alot of fun!! but i am going to miss being here and being with everyone but i guess its time to move on. but i still have a month and a half to spend at home!!

nothing going on

well i still havent heard anything i wish i could just find out but i will wait a little bit longer. i am getting really excited about starting college but i dont know how well i will do also i have gotten used to not being in a class so i dont know what i will do. but i think i will do ok, hopefully.

Update!!!

Ok so I just found out that i got put on hold for BYU Provo. atleast i know a little something now. but i will find out about BYU Provo by march 16 and i will find out my track for Idaho march 15 or so they say.... its coming up soon but its still to far away i want to know now! but that is all i know for now i will keep posting if anything changes.

Church News

Well because i do not have to go to school and did not work today i was able to watch the church news conference that is going on right now. Today they announced that President Thomas S. Monson is now the prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Henry B. Eyring as First Counselor and Dieter F. Uchtdorf as Second Counselor.
I have always loved President Monson he was my favorite apostle. i think it was because little children like to hear stories and i have always loved his stories. He is a great man and i am excited to be able to hear alot from him.

Winter Formal

ok well i went to my winter formal a couple weeks ago it was alot of fun. One of my friends got us a free limo!!!!!!!!! here are some pictures of my night!

Guess What?????

Ok everyone last night i got an e-mail from CES my heart started beating really quick can you guess what it was for????? well Idaho finally told me their decision i GOT ACCEPTED!!! i should hear from Provo really soon but atleast now I know that i will be going to a BYU i am so excited!! I will post again when i hear from Utah or anything else!!!

Christmas

Well i hope everyone christmas was good this year. i know mine was i got some stuff for college like a laptop!!!! and more and also me and kensey got a surprise gift to go to utah. we went to my cousin's reception in orem and i got to see the snow for the fist time ever. we also got to go skiing which i have never done or anything like it. it was alot of fun we went with my aunt and uncle and their kids it was alot of fun. well here are some pictures of our GREAT trip.
